Will KCPD be able to see live footage at my house or business?
No, the Kansas City Police Department will not be connecting to your cameras in any capacity. You are simply telling us that you have cameras, and where they’re located, nothing more.
What if I don’t want my information “out there?”
Your privacy is important to us, and the Kansas City Police Department will make every effort to protect it. This information will not be released to any company or person outside of the Department. Even within the Kansas City Police Department, only those officers/detectives who have a reason to have the information will have access to it.
Will my neighbors know if I am registered?
Not unless you tell them (and we hope you do)! However, we understand that sometimes it is a better option to not have your neighbors know. The Kansas City Police Department will only provide this information to members of the Kansas City Police Department who have a valid investigative reason to know you have cameras.
What if I move?
