 Cold Case

Unsolved murders get new attention
Cold Case Squad begins to apply heat.

The newly formed Cold Case Squad is already making progress with new leads being developed on cases over two years old. The seven-member squad represents seventy-two years of investigation experience and was formed with two distinct purposes: to examine open homicide cases with the purpose of developing new leads, and to locate and examine recovered property and physical evidence, determining its location and assuring the items are properly maintained.

By virtue of its name, the Cold Case Squad is interested in examining any new evidence of open cases previously investigated by the Homicide Unit. As with all investigations, the public’s involvement is critical to providing information and evidence in these cases and the squad will be using all avenues available to publicize unsolved homicides.
