Reporting a Missing Person
A missing person
includes, but is not limited to, any of the following:
A person who has unintentionally disappeared as a result of
Foul play, or due to a
Mental or physical impairment
The missing person must be 17 years of age or older, and the person’s last
known location must be Kansas City, Missouri.
Contrary to popular belief, KCPD does not require a person to wait a specific
period of time before reporting a missing person.
A report may be filed by phone by calling the Fugitive Apprehension and Arraignment
Section at 816-234-5136, between 7am and 3pm. After 3pm, please call
816-234-5000.
To report a
person 16 years of age and younger missing, please contact the Juvenile
Section at 816-234-5150.
The persons listed on this site have been
missing for an extended period of time, and are considered to be “cold cases.”
If you believe you have information concerning any of these persons, please
contact Detective Kristin Strawn by phone at 816-234-5136 or by e-mail at missingperson@kcpd.org Voice mail is available for leaving messages.
Thank you for your help.
