Below are the votes from the closed session meeting of the Board of Police Commissioners on May 24, 2022:

 

At 12:01 p.m., following a motion by Commissioner Dean, and a second by Mayor Lucas, the Board voted to go into closed session to discuss litigation matters, personnel matters, and labor negotiations.  The vote was 5-0 in favor.   Following polling, Commissioner Tolbert voted Aye, Commissioner Dean voted Aye, Commissioner Wagner voted Aye, Commissioner Cramer voted Aye, and Mayor Lucas voted Aye.

 

Following a motion by Mayor Lucas and a second by Commissioner Cramer, the Board voted to approve certain settlement authority in connection with the lawsuit styled Mark Wynn v. Officer Jeremy Gragg, et al., in an amount not to exceed $___.[1]  The vote was 5-0 in favor.  Following polling, Commissioner Tolbert voted Aye, Commissioner Dean voted Aye, Commissioner Wagner voted Aye, Commissioner Cramer voted Aye, and Mayor Lucas voted Aye.

 

Mayor Lucas left the meeting at 1:34 p.m.

 

Following a motion by Commissioner Dean and a second by Commissioner Wagner, the Board voted to approve the applications for continued employment of Sergeant Dani Russell and Sergeant Herbert Robinson.  The vote was 4-0 in favor.  Following polling, Commissioner Tolbert voted Aye, Commissioner Dean voted Aye, Commissioner Wagner voted Aye, and Commissioner Cramer voted Aye.

 

Following a motion by Commissioner Dean and a second by Commissioner Cramer, the Board voted to approve the minutes of the closed meeting on April 19, 2022.  The vote was 4-0 in favor.  Following polling, Commissioner Tolbert voted Aye, Commissioner Dean voted Aye, Commissioner Wagner voted Aye, and Commissioner Cramer voted Aye.

 

At 2:20 p.m., following a motion by Commissioner Dean and a second by Commissioner Cramer, the Board voted to come out of closed session and adjourn.  The vote was 4-0 in favor.  Following polling, Commissioner Tolbert voted Aye, Commissioner Dean voted Aye, Commissioner Wagner voted Aye, and Commissioner Cramer voted Aye.

 

The Board adjourned at 2:20 p.m.
