Police recruits, who make up the 176th Entrant Officer Class, ran the traditional class run the morning of April 21.

They ran in honor of Officer Jim Muhlbauer, who was killed in the line of duty on Feb. 15. The run started at the police memorial in front of headquarters to Truman & Benton, the intersection where Muhlbauer’s police vehicle was struck by a driver who sped at a high rate of speed through a red light.

The recruits graduate in early May.
