Suspect who robbed taxi driver caught on video

Police are looking for a man who robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint mid-morning on June 20. The driver picked the man up in the 1500 block of SW Sunset Drive in Blue Springs. The suspect asked the driver to take him to the area of 112th Terrace and Hickman Mills Drive. The suspect asked the driver to pull into the driveway next to a bail bonding company about 11:20 a.m. When the driver told the suspect how much he owed, the suspect pulled out a handgun and told the driver to back away from the car. The suspect then ran eastbound.
The suspect is described as a white male who is about 30 years old and 5 feet 11 inches tall and 175 pounds. He has tattoos on his forearms. Anyone who recognizes him is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477). An anonymous cash reward is available.
