Police recruits from the 178th Entrant Officer Class graduated from the Regional Police Academy the evening of Nov. 2.

Before family and friends, the recruits (now officers) culminated their seven months of training. Earlier in the day, the officers received their badges and were sworn in by Deputy Chief Doug Neimeier.

Officer Brooke Haynes received the Class Resiliency Award for her ability to overcome adversity, manage stress, maintain peak performance, and strive during training.

Officer Joseph O’Shea received the Class Director’s Award for demonstrating his skills in academic achievement, physical training, positive attitude, teamwork, and leadership. O’Shea was also the class valedictorian.
