KCPD invites community to new event to benefit Special Olympics Missouri

Officers from the Kansas City Missouri Police Department are joining forces with Main Event on Sept. 14 at 8081 Roanridge Rd. for the first Lanes and Lasers Frenzy competition/fund-raiser to benefit Special Olympics Missouri. 

Uniformed KCPD officers will facilitate the event from 8 a.m. to noon. Community members are encouraged to form a team and compete in the bowling competition, laser tag competition or both. The top three teams for both bowling and laser tag will be awarded prizes. 

There will be specialized KCPD units and displays, such as Mounted Patrol, a tactical armored vehicle, the Department show car, motorcycles and many other resources in the parking lot. Merchandise will be for sale including insulated logo cups and the new Law Enforcement Torch Run/KCPD challenge coin. Raffle prizes at the event will be Patrick Mahomes and Salvador Perez autographed jerseys, Charlie Hustle Special Olympic shirts and a chance to enter the state-wide competition for a new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport 4x4. Main Event will sell discounted passes during Lanes and Lasers and will be donate a percentage of all proceeds from food sales to Special Olympics.

Everyone is invited to put together a team to compete in bowling, laser tag or both.  Bring the family to meet KCPD officers and enjoy great food and fun. Teams can sign up online or the day of the event. Participants will have a blast while raising money for KCPD's charity of choice, Special Olympics Missouri.
