Below are the votes from the closed session of the Board of Police Commissioners meeting on May 28, 2021:

Following a motion by Commissioner Dean and a second by Commissioner Wagner, the Board voted to go into closed session to discuss litigation matters.  The vote was 4-1 in favor.  Following polling, Commissioner Tolbert voted Aye, Commissioner Dean voted Aye, Commissioner Wagner voted Aye, and Commissioner Garrett voted Aye; and Mayor Lucas voted No.

Following a motion by Commissioner Garrett and a second by Commissioner Dean, the Board voted to approve pursuing legal action, as recommended by counsel, to enforce the Board’s rights, responsibilities, and authorities under Chapter 84 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri.   The vote was 4-1 in favor.  Following polling, Commissioner Tolbert voted Aye, Commissioner Dean voted Aye, Commissioner Wagner voted Aye, and Commissioner Garrett voted Aye; and Mayor Lucas voted No.

Following a motion by Commissioner Garrett and a second by Commissioner Dean, the Board voted to come out of closed session and adjourn.  The vote was 5-0 in favor.  Following polling, Mayor Lucas voted Aye, Commissioner Tolbert voted Aye, Commissioner Dean voted Aye, Commissioner Wagner voted Aye, and Commissioner Garrett voted Aye.

The Board adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
