CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY
All potential candidates wishing to transfer from a current law enforcement position to the Kansas City Missouri Police Department must meet the following criteria:
- Candidate must have been a full time non-probationary law enforcement officer with at l east (1) year of experience.
- Candidate must have a current Peace Officers Standards & Training (POST) Class “A” certificate at the time of application or shortly afterwards.
LATERAL TRANSFER CANDIDATE PROCESS
All candidates must complete the following steps as part of the application process:
- Physical Abilities Test
- Polygraph
- Background Investigation
- Oral Board
- Physical Examination
- Psychological Evaluation
