East Patrol Captain Rescues Man From Burning Building

When East Patrol Capt. Jennifer Jones saw flames erupting from a house near E. 25th Street & Prospect Avenue the morning of Jan. 20, she rushed to the door looking for anyone inside.

Jones spotted a man trying to escape the burning house and pulled him to safety. The man suffered minor burns.

Capt. Jones was in the area because, beforehand, she had kids sit in her vehicle so they could stay warm while waiting on the school bus.
